Lets start this review.
The film has quite an impressive ensemble cast boasting the likes of Matt Damon, Lawrence Fishburne, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and some others.
The film is about a virus that has never been seen before and it works rather quickly, 2 days to be more accurate, and no scientist has come across it therefore there is no vaccine for it. Gwyneth Paltrow also stars and she is the person who catches the virus first and spreads it about like London with Chlamydia. Matt Damon is her husband and obviously he thinks she’s fine and has nothing more than a common cold, that is until she starts having a seizure and foaming at the mouth. When she is at the hospital she unfortunately dies causing Mr Damon to wonder what the clart is going on.
The virus starts to become more and more aggressive causing millions of people to die while the scientists are still siting there scratching their arses wondering what the fuck is going on. It pretty much carries on for a solid hour and a half until they find out what the virus is and how to cure it.
Personally I got bored after half hour but carried on watching for the sake of this review (Dedication is sitting through a shit film for the sake of fans) and I can’t really think of anything good to say about it apart from the fact that it probably comes closest to seeing what would happen if a plague swept through the modern-day and that the seizures are quite funny to watch. I’m a cunt I know.
If you like doomsday thrillers then yeah by all means you might enjoy it but if you like a bit more action or something that keeps you sucked in for a while and can keep your attention then avoid this shit like the aforementioned plague.
Review: 1/5 Personally I thought it was quite shit and the star-studded cast doesn’t save it from suffering the same fate as the disease riddled people in the film, flopping around on the floor with runny egg dribbling out their mouths.
