WOOO, fighting robot!

Boxing robots!

When I saw this advertised I didn’t exactly jump out my chair and start slapping my cock against the Tele shouting “I’ve got to see this Movie” it was more of a MEH response. I only decided to watch this Movie because I was hearing good things from a lot of different people so I thought fuck it I’ll watch it.

The Movie stars Hugh Jackman AKA Wolverine from the X-men franchise and some moody little fucker who plays Hugh’s son in the Movie.

The Film is about some guy called Charlie (Hugh Jackman) who used to be a proper up and coming boxer and was quite good at what he did until boxing became boring and people wanted more violence so they made it into robots instead of humans. Charlie starts buying robots to box but gets beat near enough every time and because of this he is in debt to some proper shady characters and must keep ducking and diving off their radar to carry on his unsuccessful robot boxing career.

Charlie gets another slap in the face when he finds out the bird he shagged a while back, 11 years to be more precise, dies and he gets custody of her son. Let me just be clear on this, Charlie is an absolute dick to his son, well to everyone in general really, and all he cares about is money but his son isn’t exactly polite either. If this kid was my son and he spoke to me how he does in the film I would back hand him straight back to the womb, but I digress.

During the court hearing of the custody battle Charlie is not exactly bothered about keeping his kid so he sells, yes sells, him to the kids auntie and uncle for 100,000 dollars so he can buy another robot, the kid isn’t exactly pleased and starts mouthing off to his deadbeat dad but discovers that his dad has bought a proper top of the range fighter robot.

Awesome? Yes. Shit fighter? Most definitely

The son, called Max, forces his dad to let him go on the road to fight this robot called Noisy Boy. He loses. Horribly. This puts Charlie in more of a pissed off mood because he paid some serious wedge to buy this hunk of shit. After their defeat they go looking for spare parts and Max has a fall in the warehouse and comes across a sparring robot called Atom.

Look at this piece of shit, Jesus Christ I shit better things out.

Charlie belittles his son saying how the robot is a piece of shit and could never win a fight because it’s a sparring robot but it turns out that Atom has a shadow boxing feature which Charlie uses to smash-up a lot of other robots. After a while Atom becomes TOP DAWG! and gets to fight the big boss at an event.

I won’t ruin the film for you but this film obviously has fighting in it but not as much as you would think. The film is more focused on the developing relationship between Charlie and his whiny little bitch of a son but it works well and the fight scenes are few and far between but are awesome none the less.

If you are going into this film expecting it to be non stop fighting film then pull your cock out your arse and turn it off, if you are going into it to see a well thought out action film then yes, you will like it. As I said I wasn’t exactly over the moon about seeing this film but i was really surprised about how good and well done it is. I would recommend it to anyone who likes fighting to be honest and anyone who wants to sit down and watch well thought out and effectively put together movie because it is really good.

Review: 4/5 well thought out, well acted, well executed and the fight scenes are awesome. See this movie as it is one of the better and more original ones out there.
